"DAF Trucks NV is a technology company and a manufacturer of commercial vehicles in Europe, DAF is a wholly owned subsidiary of PACCAR Inc, the world leader in the development and production of premium light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles." PACCAR also develops and manufactures advanced diesel engines and provides financial service and information technology and is involved in the distribution of spare parts.

DAF produces its industry-leading trucks at world-class production facilities in Eindhoven (the Netherlands), Westerlo (Belgium), Leyland (United Kingdom) and Ponta Grossa (Brazil). The DAF engine plant, a component manufacturing facility, a press shop and a final assembly line for the CF and XF models are located in Eindhoven. Axles and cabs are manufactured in Westerlo. Leyland Trucks (a division of PACCAR) in the UK produces a series of LF (light and medium-duty trucks), as well as cars of the CF and XF series. DAF trucks are sold and serviced by more than 1,000 independent dealer companies throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

DAF offers a full range of trucks with a gross weight of 7.5 to 50 tons, for road trains even higher. All DAF products are of superior quality and are designed for a variety of purposes.
